Yuck - "Yuck" To Be Released February 15

Forming little over a year ago, Yuck are a band of four people who are sometimes a band of five people. Daniel (vocals, guitar) and Max (guitar) are from London. Mariko (bass) is from Hiroshima. Jonny (drums) is from New Jersey. The part-time fifth member is Daniel’s sister Ilana who joins him for the harmonies on the album and occasionally live.

Since the release of Georgia, their debut single on Transparent in March 2010, Yuck have mainly been on tour. They have supported Teenage Fanclub, Modest Mouse and Times New Viking. Their most recent single Rubber was released by Pharmacy Recording Company in October 2010 and remixed by Mogwai.

When they’re not on tour, Yuck make a lot of stuff, like drawings and books and t-shirts. You can see some of these on their blog.
They self-produced and recorded their debut album at home, which will be be released in February on Fat Possum Records/Pharmacy Recording Company.

Band of Horses 'Georgia' Download and 7"

Inspired by Cee Lo's viral smash cover of 'No One's Gonna Love You,' Band of Horses have teamed with the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band for their own unique take on 'Georgia,' the recently leaked track from Cee Lo's forthcoming Lady Killer album.

Ben Bridwell explains the genesis of the cover: "This began as a very random idea I had on my dad's patio after we watched our beloved Georgia Bulldog football team get robbed of a win at the hands of the referees and LSU last year. I knew I wanted to pay homage to my favorite team in song but didn't have any idea how to begin. Once I heard Cee-Lo's 'Georgia,' I was immediately smitten and figured that's as good as any tribute to any state I've ever heard."

The band went on to record the song with the UGA Redcoat Marching Band, and the track is now available digitally at . At the same site, there is a preorder available for a split 7" featuring BOH's take on "Georgia" and Cee Lo's take on "No One's Gonna Love You," along with a t-shirt featuring BOH and Georgia-themed artwork! Head to now and check it out!
