Get yours now for $13Sunday Nights is a dedication to the late North Mississippi blues legend, Junior Kimbrough and his music. All the tracks are original Kimbrough songs covered by some of his biggest fans Without a doubt, Junior Kimbrough was definitely one of the most talented artists to record for Fat Possum Records. His approach to the guitar was innovative and unique and his songs are great. Junior affects just about everyone who hears him. Briefly put: as rockabilly legend Charlie Feathers, who penned several songs for Elvis in the 1950's, once said to an interviewer, Junior Kimbrough was the beginning and the end of Music. Junior was never given the recognition he deserved when he suffered a fatal stroke in 1998. Even though the sales of his records have declined, Juniors influence and respect in the music world have flourished. Sunday Nights reviewed on NPRTracks Magazine writer Alan Light recently reviewed Sunday Nights: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough for NPR's Weekend America as one of his top picks for upcoming albums in 2005. He also played the The Black Keys' version of My Mind Is Ramblin'. Listen Here. Get yours now for $13TRACK LISTING: Click on the linked tracks for 30 second clips. 1.
